Welcome to Building Security Ministry!

The Building Security Ministry is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who enters our church. We believe that protecting God’s house is an important part of serving His people. By maintaining awareness, preparedness, and compassion, our team helps ensure that all worshippers can focus on faith, fellowship, and spiritual growth without distraction.

Mission Statement
“To create a secure and peaceful environment where members and visitors can worship, learn, and serve God in safety.”

Responsibilities
Members of the Building Security Ministry serve in several important ways:

• Monitor church facilities during worship services, Bible studies, and special events.
• Assist members and visitors in locating classrooms, restrooms, and parking areas.
• Provide a calm, alert presence in the sanctuary, hallways, and entrances.
• Coordinate emergency procedures in the event of fire, medical, or weather-related incidents.
• Work with church leadership to develop and maintain safety policies and response plans.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or first responders when necessary.
• Ensure doors are secured and checked before and after all services and events.

Qualifications
• A heart for service and a spirit of watchfulness.
• Dependable, discreet, and calm under pressure.
• Willing to attend periodic safety and emergency training.
• (Optional) Background or interest in law enforcement, security, or first aid is helpful but not required.

Training
All Building Security Ministry members receive training in:
• Emergency response procedures (fire, medical, weather)
• Conflict de-escalation and communication
• First Aid and CPR (optional certification)
• Child safety and protection policies
