App privacy policy
Effective September 20, 2026. This policy describes the Russell Road Church of Christ app (org.cocrr.church), operated for Russell Road Church of Christ.
Information you provide
Member accounts use your email, password, name, phone number, and membership verification details. Optional profiles may include a photo, address, birthday, anniversary, ministries, interests, and household information. Parents or authorized adult guardians may provide children’s names and birthdays and manage event check-in. Children do not create their own member accounts.
We store private lesson notes, prayer requests, volunteer signups, event attendance, group messages, reports, notification preferences, and device notification tokens when those features are used. Prayer requests can contain sensitive information; share only what you intend the selected audience to receive. Bible bookmarks, verse notes, reading history, sermon favorites, and sermon notes are stored on this device.
Purpose and access
Data is used for account approval, church communication, member connections, attendance, and the features you select. Approved members can see profiles and households you make visible. Dependent contact details and birthdays are excluded from the household directory. Child pickup records are restricted to the checking-in guardian and authorized administrators; pickup codes are shown only to that guardian. Private lesson notes are restricted to their author. Ministers-only prayers are restricted to you and administrators. Member prayer requests and group messages are moderated before being shared.
Services and external links
Supabase provides authentication, database, and photo storage. Android push notifications, when configured and enabled, use Google Firebase. Email delivery uses configured authentication and transactional email services. YouTube provides video playback and applies its own privacy practices. Website forms and PayPal giving open external services governed by their own policies. We do not store payment-card details. There is no advertising or analytics SDK added by this app.
Your choices
Optional notifications require your permission. You can change notification preferences, profile visibility, and birthday/anniversary sharing, delete your own notes and messages, leave groups, hide members, and report content. Photo selection uses the system picker. The app does not request location, contacts, microphone, or broad photo-library access.
Retention and deletion
Account data remains while your account is active or until you delete the relevant information. Use Account & help → Permanently delete account, or request deletion without the app. Deletion removes your account, associated profile and photo files, notes, notifications, signups, messages, and household you created. Other adults’ independent accounts remain. Backups may retain deleted information until the hosting provider’s normal backup rotation; they are not used for normal app access. External donation records are managed by the payment provider and church separately.
Security and contact
Network traffic uses HTTPS and private records have access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security. Contact the church through cocrr.org/contact with privacy questions or deletion requests.
